Hello Frédéric,
We think, your files are not given full permission. Please check and give full access(write/read) for the files
AxCrypt is a file encryption software and it requires a full write access to the path when encrypting/decrypting the files.
Please provide the necessary access(write access for the currently signed in user) to the file path and then try to encrypt/decrypt the files under the specified location.
We also found something in the internet to resolve the same,
https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mchlp1203/mac ,
https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mchlp1038/11.0/mac/11.0
https://community.firecore.com/t/an-error-occurred-access-denied-after-macos-catalina-update/18711,
Please check the above links and try to resolve the issue, if you are agree/ok with the solution. We do not guarantee about others support answers. But we are just helping the user to verify and resolve the issue.
If the above doesn’t help, please provide more information about the issue and some screenshots and write a mail to support@axcrypt.net.

Hello David,
AxCrypt will not close the business. Because we are running successfully over 15+ years. Incase if we stopped the business, We have a standalone version and the AxCrypt software is available in other third party websites.
So no need worry for this. But the AxCrypt app does not have a backdoor, means without AxCrypt, you can’t able to open the .axx extension files (which are all encrypted by AxCrypt).
Hello Max,
We wish to add one more info. We need to update the contents of the encrypted files to re-encrypt with the new password. So just update the contents of the previously encrypted files.
Or we will share one workaround – Use the Upgrade files to AES-256 file menu option to re-encrypt all the files with a new passwordHello Max,
How long does it take for the update to happen then? -not much time, immediately reflected on your AxCrypt account.
Hello Max,
After changing the password, can the files encrypted with the old password still be opened with the old password ? — No. After changing the password, old encrypted files will open in the new password.
Note that the file can actually still be opened with the original password, since the file encryption key is encrypted with that also, still (until it’s updated).
When you change (not reset) your password for your AxCrypt ID account, *all* files previously encrypted with that AxCrypt ID account will automatically open with the new changed password.

Sorry to say, Currently, we are not supporting command line options. We will add that feature in future versions of the AxCrypt app.

Hello PHILLIP,
Once you have sign-out the AxCrypt app. AxCrypt asks for the password when you open the files. Please try to open the folder inside the encrypted files.
If the above doesn’t help, please provide more information about the issue and some screenshots and write a mail to support@axcrypt.net.

Hello,
This is Prabhu from AxCrypt!
We are sorry to say, Unfortunately, we do not offer telephone support or remote session.
You can use AxCrypt to secure your files which are all stored in your cloud service like Dropbox, OneDrive, google Drive, etc..
AxCrypt Cloud Storage Awareness is really just about detecting installed cloud services, creating a “My AxCrypt” folder and then designating the created folder as ‘Secured’. However, the feature is really useful only when the folder is Secured, i.e. monitored for new files to encrypt.
First synchronizing your Cloud service (OneDrive , Google Drive, Dropbox, etc)files to your local system, then just encrypt those with the AxCrypt app. Once again sync your local system with Cloud serivce (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc). Now your Cloud Drive file are encrypted.
Note : If we tried to decrypt/encrypt the files which are synched with the cloud storage services(like onedrive and etc), then the cloud service provider/application will need internet to sync the file(s) between your system and the cloud service.
Please check out our video tutorials https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lPcDg5mvh0 and our blog https://www.axcrypt.net/blog/easy-guide-to-encrypting-onedrive-files-using-the-unbreakable-aES-256-algorithm/
If you are facing any issues, please write to Support@axcrypt.net. we are happy to help you.
