Portable builds are not shown on the current web site. Where are they?

    Hello Fred Thompson,

You can download the latest AxCrypt portable(stand-alone) version, here:  https://account.axcrypt.net/Download/AxCrypt-2.exe

we will update the portable version link on our website shortly.

On 2/4/2021, the link you have for the latest Axcrypt Portable build (per 2/4/2021) restuls in a file named AxCrypt-2.1.1611.0.exe. Yet when you launch the file, it looks like the installer version and anyway its build (as stated in the title bar and when you go to Help –> About) is listed as “Axcrypt 2.1.1608.0 Premium. Perhaps a correction is needed on what is uploaded to your website for download (?).

    Hello Steve L,

I have checked twice in the installer version and portable version.

The AxCrypt latest version showing correctly in both(title bar & about menu). Sorry to say, we are not able to re-create the issue.

please provide more information about the issue and some screenshots and write a mail to support@axcrypt.net.

Hi, this is the way more complex portables behave by design.  What you get is a self-contained directory that contains all the voodoo.dll and other files needed to run the app.  What you don’t get are registry entries, program files, shortcuts, start menu entries or files crapped into your Windows System directory.
