TCAxcrypt was working fine, then I updated Mac OS (Tahoe) 26.4.1 and now axcrypt will not open.
On startup a message indicates it relies on Rosetta, which apple says will be removed in MacOS 28.It appears from searching online the latest version of axcrypt does not fix this issue.
Any info/advice if axcrypt is planning to support Mac OS without rosetta and how soon?
Tim JenningsAxCrypt 3.0.37.0 is working for me on Tahoe 26.4.1. I also received the warning about Rosetta compatibility, but I was able to click through it. Rosetta 2 is supposed to remain a part of macOS until version 28.
A bug I previously reported is that I can no longer double-click on an encrypted file in Finder and have it open automatically. I have to open the AxCrypt app and then select a file in the recent file list or use the action buttons. Someone at AxCrypt acknowledged the bug and stated it would be fixed in an upcoming release.
Hello!
We’ve now released an updated macOS version 3.0.43 with support for Apple Silicon (ARM64).
Please update to the latest version and let us know if the issue has been resolved.
Tim Jennings
Version 3.0.43 fixed the issue of AxCrypt not opening. I still can’t double-click an encrypted file in Finder to open it like I can in Windows Explorer. I’m able to encrypt/decrypt/open encrypted files by using the buttons in the AxCrypt app.

Hello! Could you please share all the details with us via our support email? We’ll also need information about your device and platform to assist you further.
