After installing the actual version of Axcrypt I recognized that I do not have Premium Status anymore. So I tried to click on “Help” or “Get Premium” in the Software.

In both cases I get the message: “Unhandled Exception: File or Archive is damaged or not readable”.

I deinstalled Axcrypt an installed it again. Nothing changed. I still receive this message.

Now I have Axcrypt which encrypts only with AES-128 and can´t get Premium anymore because of the error-message.

What can I do ?

Is it possible to install Axcrypt completely new so that I do not receive this error ?

Thanks

Marc

    Hi ParbuR,

well, today I had to login in Axycrypt and I usually use a local password.

Because the local password didn´t work I used my original password.

Now everything works. Everything is fine now.

Maybe the problem has been caused due to the local password. I don´t know.

    So no further actions needed.

    Thank you.

    Kind Regards

    Marc

    Hello Anonymous,

AxCrypt will allow the users to decrypt the encrypted file with the original password which is used for encryption.

If the file was encrypted with a different password than your sign in password, then you have to enter the file password while viewing/decrypting the encrypted file.

While viewing the encrypted file (having different password than your sign in password), you have to enter the file password. If you enter the AxCrypt account password instead of file password, then you will get the alert message like “You are already logged/ signed in with this password! “. So you need to enter the file password.

    For example:

Try to encrypt a file with your AxCrypt password and then reset your AxCrypt account password using Reset Password Feature. Now if you open the encrypted file, you will be prompted for enter the file password (which is used for encryption of the file).

The above situation was happened for you. So please try to remember your file password(which is used for encryption) then try to decrypt the encrypted file.

So kindly try to remember your file password(which is used for encryption) then try to decrypt the encrypted file.

If the above doesn’t help, please write an email to our support team at support@axcrypt.net.
