    John Isaac

I need to set up a temporary password on a file that I need to send to someone. How can I do that? They do not have Axcrypt.

    Hello John Isaac,

Currently, AxCrypt doesn’t support this feature( set up a temporary password on a file).

We have a feature called AxCrypt key sharing.

You can use the AxCrypt key sharing feature to encrypt your file(s), then key shares the file with other recipients/employees/partner or key shared encrypted file to send/share the network/server.,  If they want to open the received encrypted file then we have to share the file password with them or the files should be key shared with receivers’ email addresses.

There is no need to share passwords in order to send or share files securely with others. AxCrypt has a key sharing feature letting you add recipients by email address, who when they receive the file can open it with their own AxCrypt password.

To see a quick instructional video explaining how to use key sharing, please view https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUVWbmiEFSs

Please check our video tutorial for more information: How to use AxCrypt – YouTube  and Get Started | AxCrypt – File Security Made Easy .

If you have any queries/issues, please write to Support@axcrypt.net. We are happy to help you.
