Am having problems with the same symptom. Trying to decrypt an entire folder (with multiple subfolders) will result in an explorer.exe crash in both Windows 11 and Server 2022.

Here is what the Fault bucket shows:

    Event Name: BEX64
    Response: Not available
    Cab Id: 0

    Problem signature:
    P1: Explorer.EXE

    And the application error:

One more thing: Even if I select multiple files and right-click to encrypt them, only one file is encrypted.

However, I haven’t had any Explorer crashes yet.

Noch eine Ergänzung: Auch wenn ich mehrere Dateien markiere und mit Rechtsklick verschlüsseln will, wird nur eine einzige Datei davon verschlüsselt.

Einen Explorer-Crash hatte ich allerdings noch nicht.

Hello Nikita,

I was using AxCrypt version 3.??? and have now updated to 3.0.0.73. The error persists.

I’ve now reinstalled version 2.1.1693.0, and the error no longer occurs. When I right-click on a folder, I can encrypt or decrypt all files within that folder, including subfolders.

Best regards,

Roland
