Until now, I’ve only used encryption for specific files.

But I’ve now tried folder level encryption which seems to work pretty well.   But I’ve only tested on some small folders that weren’t previously encrypted at all.   If I now try to encrypt a folder which has a mix of encrypted and unencrypted files what should I expect to happen, especially to the files that were encrypted already.   Will axcrypt see the axx file extension and avoid double-encrypting them?

    Any help appreciated.

    Tim,

I’m pleased to hear that you are using the “Secured Folders” security feature. Answering to your query, please be informed that if you have marked or added a folder as “Secured”, and add files onto it later, be it encrypted or not, AxCrypt will immediately know about it. If any of the files you add in non encrypted, AxCrypt will enable the broom cleanup icon for you on the application, otherwise no action required if you add an already encrypted (.axx) file onto the Secured folder.

    Happy AxCrypting!
