    Hello AcCrypt users !

I did a mess I think with my files. I have different passwords for files in the same directory. When I open for exemple filen°1 I have a password associated, then the filen°2 has another password… I think I had 2 account at a time.

Is there a process to set the same password to all the files ?

    I have a free sub.

Thanks for the help, have a good day :)

    Hello Cedric,

When you change (not reset) your password for your AxCrypt ID account, *all* files previously encrypted with that AxCrypt ID account will automatically open with the new changed password.

If you wish to change the AxCrypt account password. Please sign in to the AxCrypt app with your AxCrypt credentials. you can change the AxCrypt account password via File | Options | Change Password from the AxCrypt app or you can change the AxCrypt account password via our account site, please sign in our website (https://account.axcrypt.net/en/Home/Login ) then go to settings |Password

For more information about password change and reset, please check out our blog: https://www.axcrypt.net/blog/password-reset-axcrypt/.

If you have any queries, please feel free to contact our support via support@axcrypt.net .

Hello AcCrypt users, using Windows, when I log with a normal password in to the application I can open the encrypted files. I’ll like to be ask to enter the strong encryption password in order to open the file. If I just can open it with the account password what is the use of a strong password,  when I try to open an encrypted file I’m required to login and the file can be opened

    Hello Petronio,

AxCrypt 2 now use a single sign on model where the same password is used to sign in to our servers and to protect your files.

AxCrypt will use the AxCrypt account password to encrypt/decrypt the files. The account password is used/involved to encrypt the files with the AxCrypt app.

Sorry to say, AxCrypt 2.x does not support different password for different files feature due to some security reasons. Please refer our blog for more info: https://www.axcrypt.net/blog/use-of-different-passwords/ .

still, if you are asking any Queries, please write to Support@axcrypt.net. we are happy to help you.
