    Axcrypt 2.1.1585.0

when I right click on an Axcrypt .axx file and select Decrypt from the context menu, Acrypt asks me for my password. After I supply my password, which  I have not changed recently) Axcrypt decrypts the file. So far so good.

When I right click on a plaintext file and select Encrypt from the context menu, Axcrypt asks me for my passowrd. It rejects my password, the same one I  haven’t changed a while, Axcrypt complains that the password is invalid and refuses the encrypt the plaintext file.

What to do to persuade Axcrypt once agin to encrypt files?

    Hello PF,

We think you perhaps are not careful enough when you type the password – or you are not aware that upper and lower case characters are different, and spaces and accents are significant when typing the password.

We suggest you use the ‘show password’ option in both the web and the app, and ensure that what is type is truly identical. This means having the same casing, the same spacing, the same umlauts and accents etc. The following passwords are all different:

    Not4real!Secrets

    not4real!Secrets

    not4real! Secrets

    nôt4real!Secrets

    not4real!Sècrets

Please check to ensure you are typing the correct email address in the AxCrypt app. Please sign in AxCrypt app and credentials.

Still, if you facing any issues, Please provide more information about the issue and a screenshot. Also, please write an email to support@axcrypt.net.
