AxCrypt & Excel file completely gone

An encrypted Excel file completely disappeared without a trace off of my desktop. No trace of it in Excel’s Recent Files, nothing in temp file. I was using this setup for a few months at least and now it appears as tho it never existed. AxCrypt is still installed and the password hasn’t changed; but the file is gone. Not in Recycle Bin and the file’s icon is no longer on the desktop either. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

This does not in any way sound like a direct AxCrypt problem. An AxCrypt-encrypted file is just that – a file. There’s nothing special or magic or anything about it. It’s just a file. It’s nothing I’ve heard about before – disappearing AxCrypt files.

Sounds like it’s hard for us to help you out here. Sorry…
