My Android mobile is backed up to Google Drive. I understand the data is secured in transit and at rest. However, technically I believe Google has access to files on its servers. Does this mean Google then has access to my AxCrypt credentials?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

Google has access to files on its servers. But it can’t read the ACrypt encrypted file(.axx extension files) contents. Because .axx extension files can be opened with the AxCrypt app only. Google does not support the .axx fil extension. That means we can’t read/open the encrypted in google drive. We have to download the file locally and then decrypt/open it with the AxCrypt app.

AxCrypt is file encryption with no backdoor. Please do not forget the file password(which was used in the file encryption) to decrypt the encrypted files.
