2FA Authentication

<p>Having enabled the 2FA authenticator app on my account, can I clarify whether it operates purely as a security feature against web access or should it also work when signing into the desktop app? </p><p>When logging into the website, I’m asked for password and 2F code, but if I sign in fresh to the desktop app, I can log in purely with e-mail and password, no 2FA code is required. Is that how it should function? Is 2FA purely a website security feature?</p><p>Thank you.</p>

<p>As follow up clarification, the desktop app has internet access, and after I signed in, it was left as online access. I normally run it offline only, but kept it online to verify the 2FA element.</p><p>Thank you.</p>
