    Hi there,

First off, thanks for creating this incredibly useful peace of software.

I have a question regarding the premiumtrial:

I started a premium trial, so my files are now being encrypted in 256-bit AES. However I’m a bit worried that, when the trial is over and I’d choose not to continue the premium account, I won’t be able to decrypt these files… (since 256 AES is not supported by the free version).

Thus, my question: will I be able to decrypt the 256-bit AES files using the free version?

    Cheers,

    Thijs

    The simple answer is yes.

The longer answer is that (assuming you don’t upgrade to premium) the next time you modify your AES-256 file/s in the free version they’ll be downgraded to AES-128 bit encryption.

Premium users can only create 256-bit files but can open and read 128/256-bit files

Free users can only create 128-bit files but can open and read 128/256-bit files
