Hi everyone! I’m currently in the process of buying a used vehicle and need to store sensitive files—scanned ID, proof of address, insurance quotes, and purchase agreements. I want to encrypt the entire folder using AxCrypt before uploading backups to cloud storage.

Do you recommend encrypting files individually or securing the entire parent directory? Also, is there any issue with file corruption when constantly updating PDF files inside an encrypted folder? Thanks!

Just make sure your key file or passphrase is backed up separately so you don’t lose access to your vehicle records down the line!
