Hi,
just installed AxCrypt 2.1.1489 on a Win7-machine. Trying to crypt files via explorer context menu – all things fine.
But I can decrypt the files via explorer context menu WITHOUT fill in my password??
What dis i wrong?

You’ll be pleased to know that you’re not doing anything wrong!

AxCrypt 2 is designed like this so that it’s more convenient for the user. It also makes it more secure because you can choose a really long, unique, complicated password without having to type it every time. People become lazy when they have to type it each time and choose shorter, less secure passwords.

However if you restart your computer, lock your screen, your screensaver starts or you sign-out of AxCrypt then you will be prompted for your password. So the moral of the story is: lock your screen when you walk away from your computer and you’re secure.
