    Hello everyone,

I have installed the latest version of AC (31 Jan 2017) and it seems that I cannot use different passwords for different files?

For instance I want to encrypt personal files for safety purposes, and not share them.  Then, I want to encrypt other files, and share them; if I can’t pick a different pw, that means I have to share my pw with the person I want to share a file with, and I don’t want that :)

    Can someone please help me?

    Thanks!

    R.

    Hello Raphael,

No, to share encrypted files with others, you do not share passwords anymore.

Instead, you use the key sharing feature, which allows you to share encrypted files with others, and they will be able to open the files with their own password.

See the section on Key Sharing here: https://forum.axcrypt.net/documentation/how-to-use/ .
