    Hello,

    My company has hired a 3rd party company to audit our fileshare to determine the origin of a ransomware attack. They are requiring us to send them copies of the files/folders. A lot of these files are encrypted using AxCrypt.

    I have granted them an admin account and they have accepted the master key. Here is the issue;

    We are having issues bulk decrypting the files. sub directories are not decrypting when decryption is applied to the parent directory. We tried to use the ‘search’ function of Windows Explorer, with the “.axx” then selecting all, right-clicking and selecting AxCrypt > Decrypt. However we are being prompted for a password every 4th or 5th file.

    We have thousands of files we need to decrypt. Any advice?

    Thanks
