    With “Secured Folders”

Is AxCrypt always running.  It seems as though when we place files in the secured folders (without AxCrypt running) then they are not encrypted.  But when we open AxCrypt then it works to encrypt the files placed into the Secured Folders.

is there a way to keep AxCrypt running in the background so the files get encrypted when placed in Secured Folders without having to open the desktop app?

    Hello Thomas,

If you are added the new file in a secured folder, then you have to click the “Broom icon” from the AxCrypt app. now your newly added file is encrypted. Without click the broom your file are not encrypt.

AxCrypt Secured Folder:  — AxCrypt secures files, individually. However, you can designate folders as ‘secured’. The folders will be monitored for new files, and AxCrypt will secure all new files with a single click.

AxCrypt Re-Encryption with a Broom icon:

If the file in fact is located in a folder designated as “Secured”, it will soon be re-encrypted again since those folders are monitored for unencrypted files and will encrypt them when you  click the “Broom” clean up icon.

still, if you are facing any issues, please write to Support@axcrypt.net. we are happy to help you.
